Can we meet our tutors early to discuss our scope of practice so those of us who don’t have 1 specific area can choose an area to base the course on? I’m not sure if Minor Ailments is a scope of practice? Or if that needs narrowing down eg UTIs or chest infections but that seems very narrow?

I work with all sorts of minor ailments/injuries my scope looks something like:

Infections inc. Skin infections, ear infections, UTI’s, chest infections – Antibiotics (eg Flucloxicillin, trimethoprim, amoxicillin, metronidazole, antibiotic eye/ear drops)

Acute asthma – Salbutamol, ipratropium bromide, Prednisilone

Motion sickness – Anti – emetics (eg promethazine PO, IM, Cinnerazine, metoclopramide)

Gastritis – PPI inhibitors (eg omeprazole), Antacids (gaviscon)

Constipation – Laxitives (movicol, glycerin suppositories)

    Allergic reactions – Anti histimines

    Hypoglygaemia – Glucagen, oral glucose

Soft tissue injury – Ibuprofen PO & topical, paracetamol, co codamol 8/500, naproxen

Would something along those lines be ok?
